The head of state made a trip to meet with Ukrainian forces in the Pokrovsk area on the start of the week. He stated that he engaged with soldiers at the operational headquarters of the first unit of the state defense force Azov, which is managing protective maneuvers in the Dobropillya area, a town approximately 12 miles from the focal point.

Critical Situation in Pokrovsk

Recent mapping from a national effort revealed that Russian forces had advanced deeper into Pokrovsk and its environs, though a large portion was not fully held by both forces. The situation remains critical, with accounts indicating that Russian forces were fortifying positions and strengthening posts in some districts.

Invading troops are making progress in the Pokrovsk direction and seem to be functioning with increasing comfort within urban Pokrovsk.

Military experts commented that Ukrainian forces had recaptured substantial territory of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya direction, on the eastern flank of the Pokrovsk campaign.

Kyiv's Drone Strikes Deep Inside Russian Territory

Ukrainian long-range drones targeted a production facility approximately a considerable distance inside Russia at the city. Local officials reported an explosion at the Sterlitamak facility that caused its water treatment facility to be compromised, adding that the cause of the explosion was undetermined. The national leader also approved legislation permitting draft enrollment all year round whereas before it happened only during limited periods in fall and spring. Russian law prohibits recruits from being sent to battle, but after their armed forces duty they join the reserve forces, putting them at risk of being assigned to combat zones.
