England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.

The show will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
