Administration Decries 'Democrat Hoax' as Additional Epstein Estate Photographs Disclosed
House Democrats have made public a additional set of what they labeled "alarming" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 images—some of which have been previously circulated—plus another 70 released later on Friday account for a minuscule portion of the almost 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking crimes.
Prominent Personalities in the Images
Among the prominent personalities visible in the first release are well-known figures featuring movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump appears in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
White House Response
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, alleging Democrats of selectively "cherry-picking" the images for partisan aims and to "seek to establish a false account."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been consistently disproven," an administration official remarked, maintaining that "this presidency has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have at any point by frequently urging transparency, releasing thousands of pages of documents, and calling for further investigations into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Democratic Lawmaker Statement
The photos were published devoid of explanation, but per a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's links with affluent people.
"Now is the occasion to stop this White House concealment and secure justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he said in a statement.
The release of these images comes as the House panel continuing its probe into the affair.
